The business of health care is volatile, uncertain and complex. As experts, we may have an idea of what needs to be accomplished and our next steps. But when do we need to involve others? How do we avoid missing key information? And how do we best create accountability for getting things done?

A key to the success of Mayo Clinic is the ability to collaborate across multiple areas of expertise to harness broader perspectives and make informed, difficult decisions. Physician, nursing and administrative leaders work together as leadership triads to balance the strengths of tradition with bold and forward thinking.

The Professional Leadership Development Program highlights three main themes for effectiveness:
       1. How do we make better decisions and drive results?
       2. How do we achieve our own professional goals?
       3. How do we coach our colleagues to achieve their best?

During this program, you will collaborate and network with colleagues from all over the world.

Target Audience

This program is for teams of health care leaders who wish to achieve complex service line and organizational goals. The program provides tremendous value for both new attendees and for teams who have attended care network leadership programs in the past. By attending this program, your team will get things done, learn from fellow health care leaders and create a plan for change. Member leaders are encouraged to attend with their complete leadership dyad or triad.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, attendees should be able to:

Drive Results and Engagement:

  • Identify situations where you need to step back and apply a collaborative decision-making process to improve outcomes
