Mayo Clinic Care Network Sepsis Practice Redesign and Optimization (PRO) Program 2020
*Registration for Mayo Clinic Care Network members only*
Course Directors: Casey Clements, MD, PhD and John Park, MD
The Mayo Clinic Care Network’s Practice Redesign and Optimization (PRO) program is designed to meet the challenging demands of healthcare – achieving the value equation of increased clinical outcomes while reducing cost and inefficiencies. PRO will allow the opportunity to optimize your organization’s delivery of care to be more consistent, affordable and higher quality, yet less intensive in approach as other programs we offer.
The program will kick off with a 1.5 day, face-to-face symposium-style meeting where a Mayo Clinic multi-disciplinary team will share principles and best practices, creating opportunities to bring structure, process identification and continuous improvement strategies to support your organization. We will present Mayo Clinic service line improvements from evidence based practices and provide our outcomes/learning.
At the three and six month mark, we will reconnect virtually and report on the ROI of your project implementation.
This course is designed for multi-disciplinary teams in the following disciplines/roles: physician leader (champion), administrative practice leader, nursing, nurse practitioner/physician assistant, social worker, quality and performance improvement professionals and other leaders working to promote the successful advancement of healthcare in member organizations.
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Describe why sepsis is the most important problem in healthcare
- List effective interventions at saving lives from infection
- Explain how a focused quality improvement project has the potential to improve patient care
Attendance at this Mayo Clinic course does not indicate nor guarantee competence or proficiency in the performance of any procedures which may be discussed or taught in this course.
