2nd Annual Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Summit 2019

Tempe, AZ US
April 5, 2019 to April 6, 2019

Course Directors: Anikar Chhabra, M.D. and David E. Hartigan, M.D.

The "2nd Annual Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Summit:  Care for the Athlete" will include current sports medicine topics featuring evidence-based and cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment strategies for sports-related and musculoskeletal conditions with a concentrated focus on knee injuries and primary care sports issues.

Didactic presentations, interactive case presentations and panel discussions as well as a live physical exam will be offered.  Faculty representing orthopedics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, cardiology, dermatology, family medicine and radiology will lead interactive discussions on sports medicine topics allowing an open dialogue between faculty and attendees. A live ultrasound demonstration will allow practicing physicians to gain a better understanding of the preferred physical exam for common pathology.  Our goal in focusing on these two subject matters – knee and primary care sports medicine – is to ensure adequate time for substantive discussion of each topic and subtopic.
