Coaching and career development dinner - Live (in-person)
February 6, 2024 - Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa - Napa, California
Teaching and mentoring were historically emphasized in graduate medical education while coaching played less of a role. As part of the changing healthcare landscape, new opportunities exist for providers to be coached and serve as coaches. The moderators will explore the role of coaching in their lives to improve their performance in different domains of clinical care, surgery, and personal life outside of medicine. After dinner, trained coaches will be present to discuss the types of coaches for different career stages and whether coaching makes sense or not.
