This two-day course will provide pathologists, pulmonologists, residents, and fellows with pivotal diagnostic, predictive and prognostic information on many forms of neoplastic and non-neoplastic diseases of the lung, pleura, and heart.  The course features a keynote presentation on AI and workshops with an opportunity to present your own cases. Clinicians and a radiologist will provide background information.

Target Audience

This course is designed for pathologists, pulmonologists, residents, fellows, and other clinicians with an interest in pulmonary pathology.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis of thoracic diseases
  • Identify diagnostic criteria for tumors of the lung
  • Select current guidelines for appropriate test utilization
  • Recognize interstitial and alveolar filling patterns of interstitial lung disease
  • Assess the importance of AI in the future of thoracic pathology
