Topics to be covered include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, child and adolescent psychiatric treatment, psychotherapy techniques and strategies, sleep disorders, and a neurology update. The course is enjoyable and fast-paced. All participants surveyed over the past five years have found it to be a positive learning experience.

The course will be led by Drs. Brian Palmer, M.D. and Kristin Vickers Douglas, Ph.D., L.P. of Mayo Clinic. The course will utilize brief lectures organized into clinical blocks for the morning sessions. Most lectures will be 25 minutes long with question and answer sessions ranging from 20-30 minutes. Video case examples will engage learners and a robust offering of breakout sessions will be included, based on participant feedback and hot topics in the field.
