Silver Quality Essentials is a comprehensive program on the identification of quality gaps and the application of quality improvement tools and methods to solve quality deficiencies. Attendees in this course understand the importance of quality improvement in health care and make it a part of what they do every day. They know how to measure quality in order to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement and obtain the skills and knowledge to become problem solvers. The course will occur multiple times in 2024, all throughout the Mayo enterprise.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Articulate the case for patient-centered quality and affordability
- Apply systems and process thinking to your work
- Employ DMAIC framework as a structured approach for improvement
- Locate pertinent resources for quality improvement
- Use appropriate tools within DMAIC framework
- Identify gaps in quality
- Apply process improvement principles
