Mayo Clinic’s Critical Care Specialty Days for nurse practitioners and physician assistants is a two-day CME event covering common diagnostic and management issues faced by APPs in intensive care. The first course day is didactic education with various content germane to APPs working in adult ICUs. The second course day is dedicated to bedside point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and procedural-based learning in the simulation center. Due to the experiential nature, the simulation center class sizes are limited and therefore offered on multiple days.
