Mayo Clinic's 9th Annual Multidisciplinary Cutaneous Oncology Symposium in Orlando, Florida is a three-day CME course dedicated to the latest advancements in cutaneous oncology. This multidisciplinary symposium brings together experts from dermatology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and medical oncology to explore cutting-edge topics and evidence-based practices in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers.

The program is designed to enhance clinical decision-making by presenting the most current research and therapeutic strategies. Attendees will gain valuable insights into both melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers, with a special focus on basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and Merkel cell carcinoma.

Through a series of expert-led presentations and interactive discussions, participants will explore emerging therapies, evolving standards of care, and collaborative approaches to managing complex cases.


Abstract Session 

As part of the Mayo Clinic Multidisciplinary Cutaneous Oncology Symposium, a Poster Session for presentation of original research and challenging cases dedicated to the fields of dermatology, surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology or plastic surgery either case series, case-control, or randomized trials; as well as outcome studies, quality improvement or practice innovations and interesting case reports, will be held at this meeting.

Target Audience

This course is intended for physicians and advanced practice providers specializing in dermatology, surgical oncology, medical oncology, plastic surgery, radiation oncology, head and neck surgery, internal medicine, and family medicine.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the advantages and side-effects of different chemo- preventive strategies
  • Describe the optimal preparation and timing for tumor infiltrating lymphocyte therapy in the treatment of metastatic melanoma
  • Recognize the utility of ctDNA monitoring throughout the spectrum of melanoma
  • Recognize advances in gene expression profiling in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma
