Nutrition, physical activity and other healthy lifestyle behaviors play crucial roles in promoting health and treating diseases. This course highlights ambulatory nutrition and wellness topics with multidisciplinary faculty. Current clinical topics are covered through presentations, interactive case studies, and panel discussions. Participants have many opportunities to interact with course faculty selected for their expertise, knowledge and clinical acumen.

Target Audience
This course is designed for physicians in general internal medicine, family medicine, and endocrinology. It may also be of interest to subspecialists interested in nutrition, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dietitians and health and wellness specialists.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify practical strategies to assess and manage medically complicated obesity and related comorbidities.
- Select appropriate exercises that benefit patients with limited or no access to an exercise facility.
- Recall the lifestyle factors that are associated with lowering the risk of dementia.
- Use appropriate behavioral support strategies for a patient using GLP-1 based therapy.
