Mayo Clinic's Clinical Reviews and Primary Care Update seeks to update physicians on the latest recommendations of medical subspecialties important to the primary care physician. This comprehensive program consists of lectures, workshops and panel discussions on topics of general interest in various areas of medicine.


LIVE (in-person) attendees must comply with all live course requirements and guidelines and applicable state and local COVID-19 travel restrictions, guidance and resources.  

Please note that all live course attendees must: 

  • Complete COVID-19 testing of any kind and provide attestation that a negative test result was received within 72 hours or less of the event start date or provide attestation that you received any positive COVID-19 test result within the previous 90 days, that it has been at least 10 days since COVID-19 infection, and that you are currently asymptomatic. 

  • Attest that you will comply with all safety requirements and that you understand the inherent risk associated with being in large groups of people.

Attendees who are not able to complete the above attestations are unable to attend the live (in-person) event.

Target Audience

This course is a comprehensive program for family physicians, general internists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses that need a review of primary care subjects and seek to gain new strategies of care.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Evaluate elevated liver enzymes
  • Describe evidence-based heart failure therapy
  • Differentiate between benign & malignant skin lesions
  • Identify REM sleep disorders
  • Assess pleural effusions
  • Discuss complications of checkpoint inhibitor therapy
  • Identify causes of shoulder pain
  • Select therapy for neurocognitive behavioral disorders
  • Discuss current diagnostic and therapeutic options for common illnesses seen in primary care
  • Identify new evidence-based treatment, using the most up-to-date clinical and scientific information
