Join Mayo Clinic Health System for an inaugural community and rural health symposium bringing together multidisciplinary health care leaders to discuss critical issues impacting the health and wellness of community and rural populations. Focus sessions, panels, and workshops throughout the day will explore disruptive approaches to healthcare delivery and workforce development in rural communities including digital health, artificial intelligence, and workforce innovations.

This program is approved as a learning event for American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) continuing education hours.

Target Audience

This symposium is designed for allied health professionals, healthcare executives, general internists, nurse practitioners, nurses, physicians, physician assistants, professors, residents and students.

Any health professional or learner interested in rural healthcare delivery, challenges, and opportunities, as well as those interested in the field of public health should plan to attend. 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Examine the impact of socioeconomic, geographic, and technological disparities on the health and wellness of community and rural populations.
  • Explore disruptive approaches to healthcare delivery and workforce development within community and rural settings including digital health, artificial intelligence, and workforce innovations.
  • Identify skills to adapt transformative approaches to community and rural health practice.
