The Mayo Clinic Division of Community Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Palliative Care is pleased to offer this program to provide family practitioners, internists, general practitioners, advanced nurse practitioners and physician assistants with current information on the care of older adults, including clinical evaluation, management strategies and innovative practice models.
Target Audience
Family practitioners, internists, general practitioners, advanced nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Manage the neuropsychiatric symptoms of dementia non-pharmacologically
- Identify frailty in day-to-day practice and use it to inform clinical decisions
- Effectively and safely manage chronic pain in long-term care residents
- Provide peri-operative management for older adults undergoing surgical procedures

Guest rooms have been reserved for attendees and their guests with special course rates (starting at $189/night plus tax) at the Loews Minneapolis Hotel. In order to receive the special rate, reservations must be made before the room block is filled or before the expiration date of July 10, 2022, whichever comes first. Reservations will be taken following this date based on space and rate availability. Group rates apply three days prior to and three days after the course dates, based on availability.
