This course is designed to update physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other healthcare providers practicing clinical gastroenterology and hepatology about new approaches to the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. Faculty present data on multiple topics including general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal neoplasia, esophageal diseases, motility, nutrition, pancreaticobiliary disorders, endoscopy and hepatology.
New this year, is an IBD symposium, which focuses on several aspects of the care of patients with IBD, including health maintenance, pregnancy and fertility in patients with IBD. This symposium also includes several case discussions involving multiple experts.
Video presentations on complex endoscopy cases and new technology are presented by expert endoscopists. Controversies in diagnosis and management are analyzed in panel discussions and concurrent sessions.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize management strategies for IBD for the adolescents and children.
- Explain how the Chicago 4.0 classification assists in diagnosing esophageal motility disorders.
- Describe endoscopic therapies utilized in the field of endobariatrics.
- State the management of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency.
- Summarize how to assess patients in your practice for an eating disorder.
- Define changes to colorectal cancer screening.

A block of rooms at a special group rate of $325 (USD), plus applicable local and state taxes, per night, is available for course participants and guests. A discounted resort fee of $20 (regularly $50), per room per night plus tax, includes internet in guest room, access to the sauna & steam rooms in The Spa (excludes services are additional charge).
$20 Day Use Parking (regularly $30) per vehicle, per day for non-registered guests attending the event. $30 Overnight Valet Parking (regularly $55) for overnight registered guests per room, per night. Group rates apply three days prior to and three days after course dates, based upon availability.
To ensure accommodations, make your reservation before the room block fills or February 14, 2022, via website or telephone, and reference “Mayo Clinic GI-HEP.” After the cut-off date, the hotel will accept reservations based on a space- and rate-available basis. To avoid one night’s room/tax charge, reservations must be canceled at least seven (7) days prior to scheduled arrival.
Mayo Clinic is closely monitoring COVID-19 prevalence and may adjust live course attendance limits as necessitated by CDC, public health and other relevant guidelines. Attendees are asked to comply with all live course and conference guidelines.

ABIM Maintenance of Certification
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 22.00 medical knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
