This one-day program provides hematology and oncology clinicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, pharmacists, nurses, and fellows in training with an overview of the most recent advances in the treatment of various hematologic malignancies with updates on practice guidelines, based on abstracts and papers from the previous twelve months. Invited speakers choose exciting and relevant abstracts presented at national and international meetings and discuss their clinical relevance to the hematology/oncology practice.

Target Audience

This course is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, resident fellows and allied health professionals who have an interest in the field of hematology.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize new treatments and therapies discovered within the results of important disease-specific clinical trials.
  • Identify investigational therapeutic regimens that are available as alternatives to standard of care approaches.
  • Compare results of studies conducted over the last 12 months in the field of benign and malignant hematology.

Travel

All travel and lodging expenses are the sole responsibility of the individual registrant.

Parking
The Hotel offers three parking options:

- Self-parking in the South Ramp located directly underneath the hotel is $20.00 per day with “in and out” privileges if the attendee or overnight guest goes to Hotel’s Front Desk, advises the Front Desk Agent that they are in need of “in and out” privileges and pays the parking fee. The Front Desk Agent will validate the ticket for “in and out” privileges or will provide chaser tickets for the “in and out” privileges. Self-parking is based upon availability. 

- Valet parking is based upon availability at the time of arrival at a rate of $30.00 for overnight or $15.00 for day/event-only (non-overnight).  

- Complimentary self-parking is also available in the East and West Mall of America ramps. If a registered Hotel guest is parking overnight in either of these lots, the guest will need to notify the Front Desk at check-in of their vehicle’s license plate number and make/model. The Hotel will inform the Mall of America of this information. Mall of America will tow cars that are parked overnight if they are not notified of the vehicle being registered with a Hotel’s overnight guest. Hotel recommends guests to first check-in and drop off luggage, then self-park vehicle at the Mall of America after filling out the required parking form with the required information. 

All parking pricing and availability is subject to change and Hotel assumes no liability for any damage or loss to vehicles parked in any of these parking options.

American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 7.75 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

American Board of Surgery (ABS)
