Mayo Clinic's 30th Annual Hematology/Oncology Reviews 2021 in Amelia Island, Florida is a comprehensive review of hematology/oncology that focuses on the application of new clinical and research advancements and developments over the preceding year. The most important clinical management questions in hematology/oncology will be addressed in highly interactive sessions. Attendees will leave with up-to-date, practical information which will have immediate clinical application. Attendees are encouraged to bring portable computer devices to view the syllabus on the course website. It is strongly encouraged that you download the syllabus from the website prior to the course. This optional hands-on workshop in the Mayo Clinic Simulation Center will engage participants in interactive education sessions covering marrow procedures, Ommaya reservoir and LP chemotherapy procedures and enactment of diagnostic dilemmas. This hands-on workshop is not available as a livestream.
Target Audience
This course is designed for practicing hematologists, medical oncologists, scientists, researchers, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists and clinical research associates.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- List new practice-changing developments in hematology and medical oncology in 2020-2021
- Select the appropriate clinical conditions in oncology and hematology using newly developed 2020 and 2021 treatments
- Identify risks and benefits of new treatments approved by the FDA
- Describe the most important management issues in hematology/oncology and select the best treatments based on current evidence

The J. Wayne and Delores Barr Weaver Simulation Center at Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida will host the Simulation Session. Attendees will be provided more information regarding transportation to/from the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island at a later date.
Travel
Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is located approximately 35 minutes from the Ritz-Carlton. Taxis and rental cars are readily available at the airport. Travel and lodging arrangements are the sole responsibility of the individual registrant.
