There are numerous new and established drug therapies and protocols for plasma cell disorders, including AL amyloidosis, Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia and multiple myeloma. This CME workshop introduces healthcare professionals at all levels to the latest practices in the treatment of plasma cell disorders. The workshop provides “bench-to-bedside” overview of novel drug therapies for the general oncologist, resident, fellow, or advanced practice provider who is unfamiliar with current clinical trials and treatments.
Patient Symposiums will be offered on day 2 focusing on plasma cell disorders, including AL amyloidosis, Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia and multiple myeloma. Designed specifically for patients, families, and caregivers.
Target Audience
This workshop is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and nurses as well as patients, families, and caregivers with an interest to learn more about AL amyloidosis, Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia and multiple myeloma.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe how to: Interpret new, practice-relevant data in diagnosing and risk stratifying monoclonal plasma cell disorders.
- Describe how to: Integrate evidence-based treatment strategies into clinical practice for Monoclonal gammopathies.
- Describe how to: Integrate supportive care approaches into treatment of plasma cell disorders
