This course is geared towards expanding the learner’s knowledge of the evidence behind various Integrative Medicine modalities and their implementation in clinical practice. Learners will hear the latest evidence on diverse content from leaders in Integrative Medicine and have the ability to network with fellow clinicians that share the passion for the field and whole-person care.
Abstract Submissions - Deadline November 22, 2024
On behalf of our course directors, Denise Millstine, MD and Michael Mueller, MD, we invite you to submit an abstract for presentation of individual research or unique cases dedicated to the field of Integrative Medicine (formerly Complementary and Alternative Medicine). This may include, but not be limited to, acupuncture/pressure, massage therapy, mind-body medicine, music therapy, integrative oncology, dietary therapies, supplements, and longevity medicine. We will also consider general medicine submissions.
The submission deadline for abstracts is Friday, November 22, 2024. Late breaking abstracts will be accepted before Friday, December 20, 2024. Attendees are invited to submit a research abstract summarizing original clinical research, basic research work, clinical or educational innovations, or case presentations. If accepted, at least one author of the poster must register for the course and present in person at the Welcome Reception on Thursday February 13, 2025.
All submissions will be reviewed by our course directors and notified of acceptance status.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Review the foundational domains of Integrative Medicine in clinical care
- Review existing scientific evidence regarding safe and practical application of Integrative Medicine therapies for pain
- Review existing scientific evidence regarding safe and practical application of Integrative Medicine therapies for longevity
- Review strategies for communicating challenges related to the use of integrative medicine modalities to patients and families
