Renowned voice in the digital pathology world Dr. Matthew Hanna will join an elite roster of speakers for this ninth annual 2.5-day general surgical pathology course. This course covers a broad range of subjects in diagnostic pathology including, but not limited to, breast, genitourinary, gynecologic, gastrointestinal, thoracic, head and neck, soft tissue, cytopathology, hematopathology, and molecular pathology. Presentations are geared towards the general surgical pathologist to include common diagnostic challenges, need-to-know updates, and emerging issues. Attendee participation is encouraged via an audience response system and engaging case reviews including interactive sessions using digital pathology. This year will also include evening small group interactive digital microscopy sessions.

Target Audience
This course is designed for pathologists, pathologist assistants, pathology fellows and residents, and allied health staff with an interest in diagnostic pathology as well as surgeons and oncologists with an interest in new pathologic staging criteria.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize the key diagnostic features of challenging salivary gland tumors identified from consultation practice.
- Become familiar with the emerging concepts in salivary gland tumors for grading, classification of invasion, and high-grade transformation.
- Assess a practical approach to diagnosing fibrosing lung disease.
- Assess how clinicians' approach fibrosing lung disease and how that might affect histologic diagnoses.
- Recognize how to set up digital pathology in a practice.
- Utilize artificial intelligence and computational pathology tools in surgical pathology.
