This conference is being offered to increase the number of women faculty members who achieve advanced academic appointments (Associate Professor and Professor).
This conference is for all Mayo Clinic employees that are interested in achieving advanced academic rank within Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. The course specifically envisioned and tailored for Mayo Clinic female physicians, scientists and allied health members who currently hold or desire to seek academic rank of associate professor or professor over their careers. Male employees, particularly those engaged with mentoring female employee through the academic process, may find value in the discussions that unfold in the day-long training session.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify tools and resources to identify a mentor to collaborate research for a publication
- Develop a plan with next steps for progressing academically
- Improve awareness of research resources for funding and statistical support
- Develop a personal action plan with next steps for progressing academically
