Convalescent Plasma COVID-19 - LIVESTREAM

Few treatments beyond supportive measures are available for patients critically ill with COVID-19. However, infusions of convalescent donor plasma have demonstrated improvement in patient outcomes for illnesses like Ebola, and Mayo Clinic is currently leading a multi-center expanded access program to study treatment of COVID-19 with plasma.

This livestream event educates clinicians and scientists; allied health staff; and regulators and industry executives on treatment of hospitalized patients with severe or life-threatening COVID-19. Topics covered include the history and evolution of convalescent plasma therapies; implementation of the ongoing expanded access program for COVID-19 patients; current data; blood bank and donor recruitment strategies; and world perspectives on treatment of COVID-19 patients with plasma.

This four-hour livestream activity includes lectures and interactive activity, as well as moderated poster presentations and case sessions.
