This webinar provides civil surgeons with essential knowledge on interpreting chest radiographs (x-rays) in the context of TB screening. The speaker will discuss key radiological findings such as infiltrates, cavitary lesions, and pleural effusion, as well as the importance of high-quality digital radiography and proper documentation.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify when chest radiographs are required during TB screening.
- Interpret common chest x-ray findings suggestive of infectious tuberculosis disease.
- Apply the Technical Instructions for Civil Surgeons to ensure proper referral processes for applicants with abnormal chest x-ray results.
