This symposium discusses the creation and introduction of opportunities for equity, diversity, and inclusion discussion within the community. It highlights efforts by Mayo Clinic Health System and the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire to eradicate racism and create a culturally and racial inclusive environment for all staff and patients.
Target Audience
This course is designed to meet the professional needs of physicians, practitioners, and allied healthcare professionals in the northwest Wisconsin region.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Integrate appropriate cultural factors and clinical strategies into patient conceptualization, diagnosis, treatment planning, and practice
- Describe and apply diverse and inclusive frameworks within one’s approach to patient care
