ForwardDedicated Education Units (DEU) Online CNE Nursing Course
This online CNE course is designed to provide organizations interested in implementing an innovative clinical nursing education model that builds student competence, socializes students to the role of the nurse and provides greater staff nurse satisfaction. The DEU model highlights an innovative academic practice partnership.
Target Audience
This nursing course is designed for nurses working with nursing students in academia or healthcare settings.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Provide a high-level overview of the Dedicated Education Unit (DEU)
- Discuss how to assess readiness for a DEU
- Give insight on different options for training and preparing clinical practice staff for the DEU
- Discuss different implementation strategies depending on the clinical unit
- Analyze different DEU evaluation strategies

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Request for cancellations must be submitted in writing to cne@mayo.edu.
If the cancellation is made prior to the start of the activity, a refund less an administration fee of $25 will be issued. If the cancellation is made after the start of the activity, no refund will be issued. All refunds will be made using the same method as the original payment.
