Oncology Nursing Core Curriculum: Integrated Oncology Basics for Nurses

This course will introduce the principles of integrative oncology, explore non-pharmacologic strategies to manage symptoms and treatment-related side effects, and highlight available resources to support patients across the cancer care continuum. 

Target Audience

This CNE course is designed for nurses in hematology/oncology or who are interested in the specialty.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

  • Define Integrative Oncology
  • ​Describe strategies nurses can use to support patients in the healing process and overall well-being​
  • Describe non-medication, integrative options to help manage symptoms and side-effects of cancer treatment​
  • List available cancer resources
