Oncology Nursing Core Curriculum: Oncologic Emergencies

This course covers the signs, symptoms, and causes of 12 oncologic emergencies, along with key risk factors. Learners will explore treatment strategies and essential nursing interventions to improve patient outcomes.

 

Target Audience

This CNE course is designed for nurses in hematology/oncology or who are interested in the specialty.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

  • Discuss the signs and symptoms of oncologic emergencies
  • Describe the pathophysiology and associated risk factors with oncologic emergencies
  • Describe treatment and nursing interventions related to oncologic emergencies
