Evaluation and Management of Foot and Ankle Conditions Online CME Course

 Dave Krause, P.T., D.Sc. and Corey Kunzer, P.T., D.P.T

This four-part series is designed for clinicians seeking to deepen their understanding and expertise in the assessment and management of foot and ankle conditions. Participants will develop a solid foundation by recalling the basic anatomy of the foot and ankle, enabling them to establish a fundamental understanding of the structures involved in various pathologies. The course delves into the biomechanics of the foot and ankle, allowing healthcare professionals to understand both normal and aberrant movement patterns. Imaging of foot and ankle conditions will be presented to highlight findings associated with various foot and ankle conditions to enhance the diagnostic and treatment decision-making processes.
Furthermore, the course equips participants with the skills to conduct a thorough clinical evaluation of common foot and ankle conditions. Participants will gain the ability to recognize and differentiate clinical presentations of both non-traumatic and traumatic foot and ankle conditions, fostering a comprehensive understanding of disorders encountered in practice. The identification of common mechanisms underlying traumatic injuries ensures that healthcare professionals are adept at recognizing and addressing the specific challenges posed. Through a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, this course aims to enhance the clinical proficiency of clinicians, enabling them to provide optimal care for individuals with foot and ankle issues.
