Borderline Personality Disorder and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is a mini-course derived from Psychiatry Clinical Reviews – Online, which consists of five mini-courses focusing on the management of psychiatric problems including:
- Bipolar Disorder
- Medical and Pharmaceutical Aspects of Psychiatry
- Addiction and Population Approaches to Depression
- Borderline Personality Disorder and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Aspects of Suicide
Target Audience
This course is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners and physicians assistants who are involved in the management of psychiatric problems across all care settings.
Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Identify why bipolar spectrum disorders are over- and under-diagnosed
- Identify differentiating parameters of unipolar and bipolar depression
- Identify differentiating parameters of bipolar and borderline personality disorder
- Discuss treatment options for post-traumatic stress disorder
- Examine the relationship between post-traumatic stress disorder and somatic symptom disorders
