This session is tailored to address the unique challenges faced by civil surgeons when interpreting IGRA results. Course presenters provide practical skills in reading and analyzing IGRA results and explore real-life examples of complicated IGRA cases encountered in immigration medical examinations.
This series is targeted to allied health professionals, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, residents/fellows, and civil surgeons as well as advanced practice providers, nurses, and allied health staff who help support civil surgeons and status adjusters.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
• Recognize nuances in IGRA interpretation and implications for immigration medical assessments.
• Examine strategies for handling complicated IGRA cases encountered in immigration medical examinations.
• Interpret specific Technical Instructions for Civil Surgeons in relation to IGRA testing, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
