June 26, 2025 - 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Central Time - Live Webinar
Pediatric tuberculosis (TB) presents distinct challenges compared to adult TB, requiring specialized approaches for diagnosis and treatment. This webinar explores the unique features of TB in children, including differences in disease presentation, progression, and immune response. Participants will enhance their skills in utilizing key diagnostic tools—such as interferon-gamma release assays (IGRAs), chest radiography, and microbiologic testing—to improve detection of both active TB and latent TB infection (LTBI). Additionally, the webinar will cover emerging trends in pediatric TB treatment, including shorter-course regimens for drug-susceptible and drug-resistant TB, while addressing ongoing challenges in care. Join us to gain a deeper understanding of pediatric TB and stay informed on the latest advancements in diagnosis and treatment.
