Abstract Submission Form - Mayo Clinic Healthcare Simulation Conference 2026
As part of the Mayo Clinic Healthcare Simulation Conference 2026, all educators and providers involved in simulation education, technology & innovation, simulation operations & management, simulation research, and simulated/standardized patients are invited to submit an abstract for presentation of original research. Projects can be clinical or laboratory based. Abstracts should be 4000 words or less and may include one figure or table.
Target Audience
This conference is designed to provide an opportunity for simulation educators and enthusiasts from clinical and academic settings to connect with colleagues from various professions and roles.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify key components of an evidence-based simulation curriculum and explain how they align with current standards and published guidelines as measured by post-course survey responses indicating intended curriculum changes.
- Differentiate between simulation modalities used for education, assessment, research, and systems improvement, and describe their application in clinical settings, as evaluated through participant self-assessment and post-course feedback.
- Demonstrate the integration of emerging technologies (e.g., virtual reality, AI-enhanced debriefing tools) into simulation scenarios during hands-on workshops, with effectiveness measured by participant-reported confidence and planned implementation in practice.
