Healthy Living Program for Healthcare Professionals 2025
Course Directors - Donald D. Hensrud, MD, MS, and Warren G. Thompson, MD.
Based on the Mayo Clinic Healthy Living Program, this experiential program is designed to help people make beneficial lifestyle behavior changes. In this course, attendees learn about lifestyle medicine, and actively participate in classes designed to help create an individualized wellness plan. Learning in this personal manner helps participants counsel patients on making these same healthy behavior changes.
A published study of the impact of the program has shown that there was a significant improvement in management of stress, levels of energy at work and home, and burnout in attendees that persisted for six months post program. Confidence to follow a healthy diet was significantly improved, frequency of continuing to lead an active lifestyle increased, and confidence to counsel patients on healthy lifestyle significantly increased.
Session Dates:
May 8 - 10, 2025
September 25 - 27, 2025
November 6 - 8, 2025
