Prioritizing and addressing diversity, equity and inclusion in workforce development and organizational culture is essential to providing optimal patient care, achieving health equity, and attracting and engaging the workforce of the future. At this groundbreaking CME course, participants join a national healthcare dialogue on this important subject and explore evidence-based solutions and innovative initiatives. Keynote presentations by leading experts and panel discussions cover health disparities, digital equity and much more.

 

Target Audience

This course is designed for both Mayo Clinic and external audiences interested in advancing health equity and diversity and inclusion in health care, including health care providers, social workers, nurses, individuals involved in talent acquisition and development such as hiring managers, HR professionals, supervisors, hospital leadership and administrators, healthcare educators, and diversity and inclusion practitioners.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the practical strategies to implement equity, inclusion, diversity and eradicate racism in their own work environments.
  • Summarize best practices to address health equity in health care.
  • Recognize strategies to integrate innovation and technology to advance their equity, inclusion, diversity and anti-racism initiatives.
