Women in Leadership, Medicine and Academics: WILMA 2024
This course offers Live (in-person) and Livestream (virtual) attendance options.
April 25, 2024 - Luther Building - Eau Claire, Wisconsin
This course is being offered to increase the number of women faculty and staff members who initiate scholarly activity and achieve academic appointments (instructor, assistant professor, associate professor and professor). For various reasons, female faculty members achieve associate and professor rank at a rate lower than their male counterparts. This is true both within and outside Mayo. Additionally, many faculty and staff within the Northwest Wisconsin region (where the event takes place) are encouraged to engage in scholarly activity yet have less experience. This course proposes to raise awareness of the steps needed for women to advance their scholarly and academic careers.
Target Audience
This course is designed for physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, nursing leaders (directors, managers and supervisors), administrative leaders and eMERGing leaders.
