This course is designed for primary care physicians/practitioners, general internists, gynecologists, specialists in preventative care, and other health care professionals (PAs, NPs and RNs) who have an interest in Women's Health.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe an approach to management of menopause, including the current guidelines on menopausal hormone therapy
- Discuss the newest cervical cancer screening guidelines
- Explain an approach to breast cancer screening with newer imaging modalities
- Formulate an approach to the management of PCOS in women
- Explain sex specific diagnosis and management of sleep apnea and sleep disorders in women
- Review the role of testosterone treatment in postmenopausal women and the lack of an "androgen deficiency in women”
- Explain the prevalence of premature and early menopause and its management
- Describe CBD use in women’s health
- Detail the role of gender affirming hormone therapy in the treatment of gender dysphoria
- Explain newer contraceptive options and changing contraceptive practices in the United States

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has assigned up to 18 cognate credits to this program.
This program has been accredited by the American Osteopathic Association for 16.75 credits of AOA Category 2-A.
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 16.75 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
