This course is designed for Mayo Clinic orthopedic and plastic alumni surgeons specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery, with a focus on complex reconstruction and microvascular techniques. The program highlights contemporary approaches to trauma, peripheral nerve injury, congenital and pediatric conditions, tendon and soft tissue disorders, and microsurgical reconstruction.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss the role of arthroscopy in the evaluation of wrist pathology.
  • Review the surgical outcomes for arthritis in small joints of the hand.
  • Discuss the evaluation and treatment of traumatic nerve injuries.
