This course will focus on case-based and didactic presentations from Mayo Clinic and other international experts in the treatment of the whole spectrum of gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, including esophageal, gastric, hepatocellular, pancreatic, small bowel, bile duct, anal and colorectal, and gallbladder.

The primary goal of this course is to guide practicing physicians on integrating the best and most current evidence into day-to-day routine care for patients with GI cancers. This course brings a practical perspective on how to optimize multidisciplinary care for some of the more complex clinical management decisions. Topics discussed include locoregional modalities, the role of minimally invasive procedures, and state-of-the-art radiation modalities.

Target Audience

This course is designed for medical, radiation and surgical oncologists; gastroenterology surgeons, gastroenterologists and hepatologists involved in cancer care; interventional radiologists; pharmacists; nurse practitioners; physician assistants; and nurses. Other healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients diagnosed with GI malignancies may benefit from this program.

A block of rooms at a special group rate of $289 (USD), plus applicable city and state sales tax, per night, is available at the Hotel del Coronado for course participants and guests.  Children under the age of 18 years will stay complimentary in same room with parent.  Group rates apply three days prior to and three days after course dates, based upon availability.  

Make your reservation before the block fills or the cut-off date of February 21, 2022.  Rates are based on group rate availability.


Bell staff porterage and housekeeping gratuities are optional and to be paid at the guest's discretion.  The daily amenity fee of $35 plus tax is waived upon check-in and includes guestroom internet access, unlimited indoor fitness classes and beach yoga, live streaming of Netflix, Pandora, Hulu, YouTube and Crackle, discount tickets to top San Diego attractions, local and toll-free calls, daily newspaper available in the lobby, in-room coffee, tea and bottled water.
