Immunotherapy is a rapidly evolving and growing field that has broad reaching impacts on the practice of medicine. This course is designed to teach participants about CAR-T cell therapy, future directions in CAR-T cell therapy and cellular therapeutics, and practical management of patients receiving CAR-T cell therapy.

ABSTRACTS & SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
As part of the Mayo Clinic Updates in CAR-T Cell Therapy 2022 Conference, all trainees involved in cell therapy research (clinical hematology and oncology fellows, residents, students, or post-doctorate fellows) are invited to submit an abstract for presentation of original research dedicated to the field of CAR-T Cell Therapy. Accepted abstracts are presented verbally with on-screen, electronic PowerPoint slides. The submission deadline for abstracts is July 15th, 2022.
Presenting authors selected for presentation at conference will receive a full scholarship to attend the course. Primary authors who submitted abstracts but not chosen to present will receive a scholarship for reduced registration fee to the course.

COURSE HIGHLIGHTS
- Multi-disciplinary approach for discussing the pros and cons of CAR-T and competing therapies
- Concurrent tracks exploring CAR-T therapy with a multi-disciplinary perspective from collection through long term follow-up
- Administrative track discussing beginning to end of CAR-T therapy and the implication of FACT standards to IEC programs
Target Audience
This course is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, residents, fellows, pharmacists, program administrators and allied health professionals.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Discuss current application of CAR-T cell therapy.
- Describe future directions in CAR-T cell therapy and cellular therapeutics.
- Give examples of practical management of patients receiving CAR-T cell therapy.
- List effective methods to work in interdisciplinary teams in the context of CAR-T cell therapy.
- List target patient populations well suited for CAR-T cell therapy.
- Describe side effects of CAR-T cell therapy.
- Describe management of CAR-T cell therapy side effects.
