Mayo Clinic's Simulation-Based Boot Camp 2.0 for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants provides supplemental training to hospital-based providers using commonly encountered simulated patient presentations. This course builds upon commonly encountered patient scenarios with more medically complex patients that are common among hospitalized patients, regardless of inpatient clinical practice setting.
Participants should have taken the Boot Camp 1.0 course prior to Boot Camp 2.0.
This course is designed for nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify medical and system interventions to assist with behavioral patient issues.
- Review antibiotic management in complex hospitalized patients.
- Review basic imaging in the hospitalized patient.
- Interpret complete blood counts and electrolytes.
