Practice of Internal Medicine is a postgraduate course offering internists and primary care professionals a state-of-the-art update. Mayo Clinic faculty present lectures on common clinical problems across gastroenterology, infectious diseases, rheumatology, geriatrics, emergency medicine, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, pulmonary, and women’s health.
Target Audience
This course is designed for general internists, internal medicine subspecialists, family medicine physicians, and other primary healthcare professionals.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe the current approach to diagnosis and treatment of MASLD.
- Outline treatment options for Alzheimer’s Disease in 2026.
- Advise patients on breast cancer screening, balancing risks and benefits and incorporating society guidelines.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 27.75 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
American Board of Surgery (ABS)
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME and Self-Assessment requirements of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
