Mayo Clinic Updates in Internal Medicine 2022 presents up-to-date information as well as contemporary approaches and strategies to the ever-changing and expanding discipline of internal medicine. The program covers the scope of internal medicine, selecting from a variety of pertinent general and subspecialty derived topics. Expert faculty present evidence-based and emerging practical clinical approaches regarding various general and subspecialty topics.

COVID-19 Requirements and Guidelines

LIVE (in-person) attendees must comply with all live course requirements and guidelines and applicable state and local COVID-19 travel restrictions, guidance and resources.  

Please note that all live course attendees must: 

  • Complete COVID-19 testing of any kind and provide attestation that a negative test result was received within 72 hours or less of the event start date or provide attestation that you received any positive COVID-19 test result within the previous 90 days, that it has been at least 10 days since COVID-19 infection, and that you are currently asymptomatic. 

  • Attest that you will comply with all safety requirements and that you understand the inherent risk associated with being in large groups of people. 

  • Complete your attestation (Will open 72 hours prior to the course start date)

Attendees who are not able to complete the above attestations are unable to attend the live (in-person) event. 

Requirements and guidelines may be amended as CDC, public health and other relevant guidance are adjusted. 

 

Target Audience

Practicing general internists, family practice physicians, subspecialists, and advanced practice providers in need of practice updates.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize recent updates and new guidelines that impact practice in general medicine
  • Identify updates in the management of Post COVID Syndrome
  • Define clinical pearls in the areas of cardiology, endocrinology, and women’s health
  • Define updated guidelines on the management of hospitalized patient
  • Summarize updates in perioperative medicine
