August 15 - November 21, 2024 - Blended Online and Live/Livestream module -  Mayo Clinic - Rochester, Minnesota

This training includes 1) dissemination of an online training module, with content on how and why to discuss SOGI status within medical oncology 2) live sessions that will include guest speakers and group discussions with the goal to complete the following aims:
SPECIFIC AIM 1: To increase the knowledge of oncology staff members towards the care of sexual and gender diverse (SGD) individuals, promoting culturally competent and inclusive cancer care within the medical oncology department.
SPECIFIC AIM 2a and b: To enhance the attitudes and confidence of oncology staff members towards the care of SGD individuals, promoting culturally sensitive and inclusive cancer care within the medical oncology department. Oncology staff will participate in two live sessions that will include reflective exercises, guest speakers, and group discussions. This voluntary, training course will include both online (self-study) and live group sessions.

Target Audience

This course is designed for physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, residents/fellows, care coordinators, community health workers.
