Part 2 :  Mayo Clinic Application of Quality Improvement Tools and Methods – Silver Level is a live (in-person) learning experience for non-Mayo Clinic employees will be held at the Mayo Civic Center on June 20, 2023

The Mayo Clinic Fundamentals of Quality Improvement (Online)

This Bronze Level course provides key components of quality improvement. Gain understanding of why quality is important to your daily work. Clarify your role in addressing quality gaps affecting customers and patients by recognizing the elements of a patient safety program. Understand how patient experience is key to quality and recognize tools and resources to improve quality. Apply quality improvement frameworks resulting in safe, timely, efficient, effective, equitable and patient-centered services.

Mayo Clinic Application of Quality Improvement Tools and Methods (Live In-Person)

The Mayo Clinic Application of Quality Improvement Tools and Methods is the Silver Level program.  This comprehensive program on the identification of quality gaps and the application of quality improvement tools and methods is designed to solve quality deficiencies. Attendees in this course understand the importance of quality improvement in health care and make it a part of what they do every day. They know how to measure quality in order to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement and obtain the skills and knowledge to become problem solvers. This version of the Silver Level course is only available to non-Mayo employees.

We will be accepting abstracts for the 2023 Quality Conference.  Proposals will be reviewed and confirmed on a first come, first serve basis.  Submission deadline is March 17, 2023.  You will be notified by April  10, 2023.  Click the link to submit an abstract.

  • Apply systems and process thinking to your work
  • Employ DMAIC framework as a structured approach for improvement
  • Select and use appropriate tools within DMAIC framework
  • Identify and measure gaps in quality
  • Apply process improvement principles
