This course will empower women and men in medicine with the skills and resources to remove barriers and bias of women in leadership positions specific to the challenges in healthcare. Leaders in business and healthcare will present evidence-based strategies to promote professional development and enhance personal well-being. Nationally, there is large number of female clinicians reporting burnout which has a potential effect on patient experience, compliance and outcomes. This course will address the growing need for improved clinician wellness and development for a gender balanced leadership healthcare team.

Target Audience
This course is intended for professional women and men in healthcare interested in developing a gender balanced leadership healthcare team: clinicians, administrators, and allied health staff.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe how to enhance communication with colleagues and team members to improve team based care and to better manage conflict
- Identify symptoms of burnout in themselves and will be able to describe strategies to manage these symptoms
- Formulate action plans to create and support a diverse healthcare team

Rooms have been reserved for attendees and their guests at The Greenbrier for a discounted rate of $325/night. Upgraded rooms are available at a higher rate. In order to receive the special rates, reservations must be made before September 25, 2023, or before the room block fills. Run of House rooms may be placed in any room type throughout the resort, including the main hotel, cottages, and guest houses. Rooms are assigned based on availability at the time of check in.

Daily Resort Fee ($35):
The daily resort fee of $39 is discounted at a rate of $35 per room per night for all attendees staying at the resort. The fee includes the following:
- Morning coffee service
- Afternoon tea
- Nightly movies in the Theatre
- Historical tours and Presentations (Bunker tours excluded)
- On-property transportation
- Resort-wide wireless internet connectivity
- Use of Fitness Center, indoor, and outdoor pools
Additional taxes will apply. Complimentary self-parking available. Valet parking available at $25 per vehicle per day.

Driving Directions
By car, it is a scenic drive from both Washington, D.C. or Charleston, WV.
From Interstate 64 West
Exit #181 White Sulphur Springs. At end of exit ramp take a right and proceed for approximately 1.5 miles. The Main Entrance will be on the right.
From Interstate 64 East
Exit #175 White Sulphur Springs. At the end of the ramp take a left; go to the stop sign, turn right and proceed approximately 3.5 miles. The Main Entrance will be on the left.
Flights
Greenbrier Valley Airport (LWB), is served by American Airlines and operated by Contour, and tickets are currently available for purchase at contourairlines.com. Greenbrier Valley Airport is located only 15 minutes away from The Greenbrier. American/Contour offer daily flights to and from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT).
Other airports convenient to The Greenbrier include Roanoke, VA (ROA), Charleston, WV (CRW) and Beckley, WV (BKW) with service provided by major carriers.
Shuttle Service
Shuttles are available from area airports to The Greenbrier for a fee. Please call The Greenbrier Transportation Department at (855) 453-4858 for rates and reservations.
