The Mayo Clinic Division of Community Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Palliative Care is pleased to offer this program to provide family practitioners, internists, general practitioners, advanced nurse practitioners and physician assistants with current information on the care of older adults, including clinical evaluation of cognitive and functional health, chronic disease management strategies, topics on post acute/long term care, and caregiver support.
This broadly applicable CME conference enhances attendee knowledge and skills in caring for older adults by providing:
- The latest, evidence-based approaches to common issues in geriatric medicine, including but not limited to: falls, dementia, frailty, chronic pain, end-of-life care, and CVD prevention
- Practical tips for managing elderly patients across the healthcare continuum (ambulatory, inpatient, homebound, post-acute and long-term care)
- The opportunity to build assessment and procedural skills commonly utilized in geriatric patient populations
