Psychiatry in Medical Settings covers the special challenges of diagnosing and treating psychiatric and psychological problems in patients with major medical-surgical illnesses including cancer, heart disease, and neurological illnesses. Managing patients with high levels of somatic symptom burden and illness-related anxiety is highlighted.

Target Audience

This multidisciplinary course is intended for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, therapists, and other clinicians who see patients with mental health conditions. Multiple specialties, including psychiatry, psychology, family medicine, neurology, and primary care, will benefit from attending this course.
